Although the majority of our clients are training-only, we have been asked more frequently about pet sitting. We can offer two options at this time. Option 1 is Pet Sitting in Your Home, where we travel to your home while you are away and take care of your pet. Option 2 is Pet Sitting in My Home, where your pet comes to one of our homes to stay for the amount of time you are away. Stress levels determine which option is best for your pet. Activity time frames are determined by your pet's age, breed, and activity requirements to optimize stress-relief while you are away. Interviews are required as a precaution for suitability for the option requested as well as to meet, setup a routine schedule, and check for compatibility of your pet and our staff. Option 1 is usually the best option if you are only leaving town for a few days. Option 2 is usually better if you are leaving town for 1 or more weeks. Descriptions: In Your Home Pet Sitting: * Two 45-75 minute trips daily (morning and evening) for feeding, fresh water, exercise & play (refresher training provided for what your pet already knows), grooming if required, potty breaks, and stress-relief attention (massage, cuddle time on the couch, etc). * You must provide proof of Rabies & DHLPP, and your pet must be treated with heartworm disease prevention and Frontline. * Field Trips, trips to the vet for an appointment, or foundation trainign can be added on to your sitter program for additional fees. In My Home Pet Sitting: * A warm kennel is provided (if you'd like to bring your own, that is fine too) for much needed "personal time" or for when I am at work (I work as a local veterinary technician). Access to the whole house is provided when I am home. * You must provide food, as switching diets is only more stressful, in this already stressful period of time. * Although you can bring your pet's own bed and other items from home if you'd like, I will provide a bed, chew toys, interactive toys for play. * Your pet's leash and collar will be required from home for walks and potential field trips. * You must provide proof of an examination by your veterinarian within the last 6 months, proof of Rabies, DHLPP, and Bordetella vaccination as well as a negative intestinal parasite screening within the last 6 months. Your pet must be treated with heartworm disease prevention monthly and be on Frontline monthly as well. * Your pet will be able to "pack-up" with my dogs if you'd like, or will be provided own time if you don't want him/her to. * As I am a fairly active person, your pet most likely will be going on field trips to the local pet stores, wherever I work, the dog park (weather providing and only on a drag line for safety), training lessons, and other places of pet-interest. If you do not wish your pet to attend, you may request that. Pricing: In Your Home Pet Sitting $60 / day (2 trips) or $350 / week (7 days / 14 trips) In My Home Pet Sitting $45 / day or $300 / week (7 days) Cat Programs and Fee Schedules can be negotiated at time of interview. |
